... Friday. Caught a flight to Perth in the early hours of Friday. It was the longest sunrise I've ever seen, we race against the sun for 2 hours and we lost. Arrived at Perth at 9AM, by mid-day Friday my assignment is finished, next stop is the Rydges Hotel to checkin so I can spent the remainder of the day exploring Perth City and the Supreme Court Garden by the Swan River. My first real meal in Perth is sushi at The Kaiten Sushi train bar. Before I know it night falls, time flies when you having fun. I saw a poster about a local artist at the WA Art Gallery, artwork by Rose Miller. The artist herself was present at the expo, shes so cool, I like arty chic. I saw this $400 painting I like, almost bought one on my credit card, but changed my mind in the last minute because I remember I have no place to hang it and it conflicts with my existing painting by Mak C, I already had at home. Saturday Sleeping in, typical me. Heading down to the food court to get an early lunch, Mexican Nachos, it was nice and spicy. There I met the two Japanese schoolgirls, Yumiko and Seiko. They showed me how to get around Perth City and the view from Kings Park. We didnt end up going back to my hotel and make sandwiches.. Sunday. Its been 3 days and I missed Sydney already. A long 5 hours flight back to Sydney. Posted on: Sun, 05 Sep 2004 21:03:44 +1000 |

A story of migration, freedom and love. Written by Khoa Do, directed by Katrina Douglas. Performers includes Julian Chung, Charlie Daza, Gareth Mealing, Ayfer Mestanov, Nelio Sam, Leng Sing and Victor Tooma.
